Always Look on the Bright Side of Cheesiness

There’s something so wonderfully refreshing and inspiring about cheesy quotes. You know the ones, “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade,” “If you love something set it free,” and “the expert in something was once the beginner.” There’s also something that’s annoyingly patronising about them, when you’re just not feeling it. image credit Today, I’m being annoyingly patronising. The last week, I’ve had some rather...

The Luckiest Woman

Ever since I was little, I can remember having really vivid dreams. Well not that I thought they were any more vivid than anyone else’s, but my mum always told me they were. Maybe she just had really boring ones….? Anyway, whatever the story, when I dream I dream in detail. One might say surround sound. This was after we had discovered that one of our baby bunnies had burrowed out of its hutch, and decided the grass was greener on the other side of the fence. The side where the dog lives. Thankfully, we got to her in time, and she had hidden herself from Angel’s almighty jaws, and a bunny massacre was...

Proud Mummy Moment

You know that moment, when you first see your first baby? Whether it’s on an ultrasound image, or in those moments after birth and they are a squirming, beautiful mess, and you think the thoughts, ‘no child in this world, will ever be as beautiful as this one.’ You worry about your second child. You seriously doubt that you could love them as much as the first, and there is no way on God’s green earth they could be as clever, as advanced, as attractive, and as...
